Building bridges: Europeanization through the enhancement of cooperation between KCSS and think tanks in the EU

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) has started implementing the two-year project focusing on twinning, networking, and capacity building between KCSS and think tanks based in the EU member states. This project is being implemented with the generous support of the Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE).

Starting from May 2018, Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) has started implementing the two-year project focusing on twinning, networking, and capacity building between KCSS and think tanks based in the EU member states. This project is being implemented with the generous support of the Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE).

In the framework of this project, KCSS aims to build strong and solid bridges with vocal thinks tanks from EU member countries such as Germany, France, Netherlands and Poland. Variety of topics will be tackled throughout the two years of project implementation mainly focusing on the security cooperation, bilateral relations between Kosovo and the respective countries, exchange of expertise and know-hows in dealing with violent extremism, migration, cyber security, and the security aspects of EU integration process for Kosovo.

Activities of the project include visiting fellowships aiming to jointly write policy briefs and produce policy recommendations focusing on the key project topics, experts’ workshops, meetings with representatives from states institutions, think tank community and academia, public conferences with main stakeholders, co-authored articles and op-eds, and other advocacy activities within Kosovo and the targeted countries.
