Rritja e besueshmërisë dhe dialogut në mes të komunitetit të Leposavicit dhe institucioneve të zbatimit të ligjit në Kosovë

Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in cooperation with Humani Centar from Mitrovica, on 24th of January 2019 has organized the roundtable in Leposavic titled "Increasing the trust and dialogue between the Leposavic community and law enforcement institutions in Kosovo".

This meeting gathered representatives of Kosovo Police from the Leposavic station, representatives of local security councils and representatives of the Albanian and Serbian community of Leposavic.

The participants stated that there is good cooperation between the citizens and police in the municipality of Leposavic, however the lack of trust towards Kosovo Police is a result of the lack of capacities that police face in this community. The importance of the cooperation between law enforcement agencies, civil society and local communities, and additional training for the police were highlighted as crucial steps in increasing the level of trust towards Kosovo Police.

This activity is organized in the framework of the project "Increasing the trust and dialogue between the Kosovo non- majority communities and law enforcement institutions in Kosovo”, supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiative (CFLI)
